Zadanie 1

A: Hello. How may I help you?

B: Good morning. I’m looking for a job, do you have any vacancies?

A: In fact I need a waiter, would that be good for you?

B: I think so, I worked as a waiter before so I know something about the job. How many hours a week would I have to work?

A: I need somebody to work 30 hours a week, but if I want to work more there should be no problem with that.

B: That’s great. And what’s the hourly rate of pay?

A: It’s Ł5.5 per hour minus taxes, and you will get some tips of course.

B: Ok, that suits me. When can I start?

A: Come tomorrow at 9 and someone will show you what to do.

B: Ok, see you then.

A: Bye.

 

Zadanie 2

A: During my holidays I worked as a waiter in a café in London.

B: Really? What did you do there.

A: In fact I had to do many things. I served the customers, cleaned, took care about the supplies. Sometimes I even had to close the café when we finished working or open it in the morning.

B: Sounds like a load of work.

A: Yes it was, but I liked it. I worked there only for a moth and a half, but I would like to work there again.

 

Zadanie 3

A: Hello. I'm looking for a job. I'm interested in something connected with working at a restaurant, because I worked as a chef and I have some experience.

B: Good morning. Let me see. The only jobs at restaurants available now are as waiters. Are you interested in that?

A: Well, not really. Because you see I am a qualified cook and I’d like to work as a cook.

B: But I cannot offer you anything like that at the moment.

A: Hmm. Is it possible for me to accept a job like that only for some time and in the meantime wait for some cook position?

B: You would have to discuss it with your employee, but I don’t think there would be any problems with that.

 

Zadanie 4

I In the picture there is a man sitting by a desk. He is working on a computer. He is rather young, I think he is in his twenties or early thirties. He seems really absorbed with his job so it is probably something very important. In the foreground there is another desk with two chairs, so I think that the man works for a big company with many different people.

Pytanie 1. Is the person in the picture having fun or working? Why do you think so?

I think he is working. He is smartly dressed and he is browsing or making some graphs and I don’t think he is doing that for fun.

Pytanie 2. What is your dream job? Why?

I would like to be an accountant. I want to work in a quiet place and with a computer if it is possible so I think that this job would be perfect for me.
